In July 2004 Myx founded The Q Collective Limited an umbrella company housing The Q Entertainment with support from a number of initiatives including The Princes Trust, Arts Council, One London, Business Enterprise Centre, Portobello Business centre and support from his business mentor Robin Broadhurst CBE FRICS (Jones, Lang, Lassalle – JJL) assigned to Myx via the Royal Princes Trust.
In 2007 Myx restructured and rebranded “The Q” and formed Qirv housing various businesses and brands including Qirv Music, Glory Roots, Apticca Digital and Quintessential Avant-Garde.
Along side this Myx is co-proprietor for his family run school Precious Sanctuary Academy situated in New Achimota, Ghana and also Business Development Consultant for the Ghana based Jubail Hospital; a leading private fertility hospital, focusing on new business on an international scale, brand awareness and investment opportunities. Kofi Amaniampong, Head of Finance and son of hospital founder Dr. Amaniampong is also on the board of Qirv handling affairs in Ghana.
A sort after public speaker Myx has sat on many panels in music, fashion and business, including Kulture 2 Couture in London where he worked along side Damon Dash, Inspirational YOU, Ghana Music Week, Ghanaian Londoners and via Qirv was a main sponsor of GUBA Awards in 2011 where he co-presented an award and for which later in 2017 was a nominee for Professional Of The Year. Myx is also a member of the Courvoisier Future 500 which nominates and celebrates talented, inspirational and forward thinking individuals in the UK.
On 29th June 2012, Mr. Quest with his business partner Kofi Amaniampong and support from Zandile Blay hosted the first ever exhibition of James Barnor’s works in Ghana. The four-day exhibit held at the British Council, Accra and Silver Bird Lounge, Accra Mall, showcased precious historic and heritage photography captured by James Barnor himself including coverage of Ghana’s actual day of independence on March 6th 1957 and a number of key political and social moments spanning over decades. That particular collection curated by Myx Quest and James Barnor and owned by Qirv continues to be exhibited via “Qirv Presents…”.
In November 2018, Myx played multiple key roles during the Royal Visit of HRH Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall to Accra, Ghana. During the tour, Myx made a private presentation of James Barnor photographs from the original collection from the “Ghana – A Heritage Ever Young”. One of his businesses, Glory Roots, also made a very substantial contribution donating 500 pieces of it’s Shea Butter mix ranges which were included in the Royal Hampers distributed during the exclusive Royal Banquet which was hosted by the Ghana Head of State Nana Akufo-Addo.
Shortly after this Myx Quest and Qirv collaborated on a number of international events to celebrate James Barnor’s 90th birthday. This included a London event in July 2019 held in the prestigious October Gallery of which GUBA was a partner, an event in Paris in June 2019 at the Musée National de l’histoire de l’immigration and then in August 2019 at the British High Commission, Accra, during which the “Ghana – A Heritage Ever Young” collection was again privately displayed and Quest was personally honoured by James Barnor and Iain Walker (British High Commissioner).
In 2020 Mr. Quest was then appointed as a Founding Board Member for the newly formed James Barnor Foundation, based in UK.
As if that’s not enough, Myx Quest also has over 10 years experience in property construction in Ghana and runs Providence Place, an apartments complex in Spintex, Accra for long and short term rental tenants.
Qirv is set to develop greatly under Myx Quest’s leadership and expertise. Through his business and music Myx continues to push progress forward and be an excellent example of a multi-talented successful individual.
